STRINGS Project

Monte Carlo Event Generator for the Production and Decay of String Resonances in Proton-Proton Collisions

This page describes the Monte Carlo event generator for the production and decay of string resonances in proton-proton collisions - STRINGS version 2.00.

Description of Generator

STRINGS is a Monte Carlo event generator for the production and decay of first and second string resonances in proton-proton collisions. This generator is also capable of producing QCD di-parton processes. STRINGS can be interfaced to common hadronization programs using the Les Houches Accord.

Manual

arXiv:1811.07458.

Installation

STRINGS is written entirely in Python 2. This generator uses PDF sets of the LHAPDF library and it should be installed with Python enabled. For instructions on how to install LHAPDF visit https://lhapdf.hepforge.org.
